Perfect Smile

An RDHAP is ...

A Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) is a dental practitioner who specializes in dental hygiene treatment and provides services to underserved populations such as dental HPSA designated areas, skilled nursing facilities, homebound patients, school-based programs, and hospital-settings but not limited to those in In-home w/ special needs or limitations.

Why to utilize an RDHAP?

The RDHAP can practice but not limited to private homes, schools, hospitals, homebound patients homes, foster care institutions, residential and skilled nursing facilities as well as pregnant women put at bed rest.

The RDHAP provides the dental care to those patients in need and dental hygiene education to the care facilities staff, direct care givers and family members to be able to help the patients. Now the underserve are able to have dental hygiene services through an RDHAP rather than no services at all due to their limitations.

Preventative care is very important to all, this helps to avoid stressful and extensive dental treatment that could lead to medical complications.
